Amelaine’s special interest area is in treating Anxiety and Anxiety Disorders. People can experience anxiety related to a wide range of experiences. Anxiety issues sometimes have origins since childhood or a more recent onset. Sometimes anxiety issues begin during/after significant life events, changes or stressful situations, or after a traumatic or stressful incident. Other times, individuals don’t know why their anxiety started. In all of these different instances, working with a Psychologist can be helpful.

About Amelaine

Amelaine is a Registered Psychologist. She has worked in mental health since 2016 in a number of roles across private, non-for-profit, government and educational sectors, both in Australia and internationally. Amelaine is based in Canberra and also works via telehealth with clients from any location in Australia.

Amelaine works with the following demographics:

  • adults and adolescents (age 14+) for individual therapy

  • children, adolescents and adults for psychological assessments

Amelaine’s professional passion is in supporting her clients to initiate and maintain lasting positive change in their life by helping people gain the understanding, skills and confidence needed to improve their mental health and wellbeing, and to manage it more independently into the future. Amelaine always works together with her clients to formulate a treatment plan and tailors her therapeutic approach to best address the specific concerns most important to her clients.
