This role would suit a psychologist who enjoys working with a high degree of autonomy, takes pride in their professional and ethical standards, and is looking for flexibility alongside the security of permanent employment.
About Us
Good Health Psychology is a boutique private practice based in Hawker, ACT. We are a small, established team of experienced clinicians who value professionalism, collaboration, and quality clinical care.
Our practice manages marketing, referral sourcing, intake, and client triage, allowing psychologists to primarily focus on delivering excellent services to clients. We believe in trusting our clinicians to manage their work professionally and independently while remaining connected to a supportive team environment.
The Role
This is a permanent part-time position offering approximately 2–3 days per week. There is the potential for this role expanding in the future, if this is mutually desirable.
One of the benefits of our practice is genuine flexibility. We are open to a variety of working arrangements, including:
School-hours only
Morning or afternoon-only schedules
Evening sessions
Weekend sessions
Fixed or flexible workdays
We understand that psychologists have different interests, family or life commitments, and preferred ways of working, and we are happy to discuss a schedule that works for both you and the practice.
You will have the opportunity to develop a caseload aligned with your interests and areas of competence wherever possible, while also working with clients across the lifespan experiencing a range of common mental health presentations.
We are committed to sustainable workloads for maintaining quality clinical care and career sustainability. Most psychologists in our practice see around 5 clients per day, allowing sufficient time for session preparation, clinical administration, case planning, correspondence, and other professional responsibilities. Working days and hours can be structured flexibly. Psychologists who wish to work longer or shorter days may take on a different number of appointments. You are welcome to discuss arrangements that suit your goals and availability.
Our focus is on maintaining a manageable workload that allows clinicians to provide thoughtful, high-quality care while also completing documentation and other professional responsibilities during their workday.
